A collector’s piece of rare charm — a textured yellow gold lamb gambolling beneath a white gold cloud outline, standing on a sweeping rose gold branch set with a pear faceted pink tourmaline of 0.25ct and a pear faceted pale blue aquamarine of 0.15ct, both rub-over set. Stamped 9ct, bearing the A&W mark of Alabaster & Wilson. A professional content appraisal confirms stone weights, cuts, colours, and measurements. 38.70 × 26.00mm, weighing 8.8g. Loc: 500.

Alabaster & Wilson were one of Britain’s most celebrated and collectable jewellery makers, based in Birmingham and active through much of the twentieth century. Known for their exceptional craftsmanship and whimsical figurative designs — animals, nature, and narrative scenes rendered in fine gold with gemstone accents — their pieces are eagerly sought by collectors worldwide. The A&W mark on a piece is a hallmark of quality and imagination in equal measure. This gambolling lamb brooch is a quintessential example of their work at its most joyful.

Our Jewellery

How do you assess your jewellery?

We fully appraise every item for both condition and content using close
inspection and industry-standard testing equipment. You can count on
each piece being in excellent condition consistent with age, unless
stated otherwise. Our mobile phone photographs show true images without
filters, including close-ups of both perfections and any imperfections.

What should I know about vintage and antique pieces?

We personally select all pre-owned pieces, rejecting over 95% of what we're offered. Most items are over 30 years old with previous owners and stories to tell. We research and analyse every piece using industry-standard methodology and provide written confirmation with your purchase. Our diamonds are earth-mined, though we don't research stone origins or enhancements due to limited resources.

What's your packaging like?

We use minimalist packaging — small, plain boxes that are discreet, robust, reusable, and minimise postal costs. No fancy packaging means better value for you.

Do you offer resizing?

Yes — every ring comes with a free resize. Simply leave us a note at checkout, email, or contact us on Instagram with your correct size. You can also use the Jason Withers App (Apple & Android) to measure an existing ring.

We offer this free resize so you can buy with confidence — the price you pay covers the craftsmanship, and we handle everything for you. Returns of resized rings are accepted, with a small adjustment for the goldsmith cost if applicable.
